In our initial meeting with the author, she talked through wanting an arid tone and theme of abundance in unexpected places, which naturally lent itself to finding a location in Colorado to set the overall theme of her sessions. I enjoyed developing the sets, securing the locations, and coordinating with the crew and talent, especially for the sunrise filming at Palmer Park in Colorado Springs.

Image RESTored was the first of many author sessions we filmed internally at David C Cook. I was challenged to establish a structure and production plan as we moved into filming. On set, I collaborated with the crew and learned, through trial and error, what we could continue to develop and plan for future productions.

For She’s Not Your Enemy, the author envisioned incorporating beautiful building elements, and multiple sets. The challenge of location scouting and incorporating set design elements in the Airbnb to help bring together the colors and key elements the author had envisioned was rewarding.

Directing the author for these session videos was a pleasure, as she naturally was a warm and inviting person. It was fun to see her begin to engage and connect with her audience authentically once she got comfortable on set.
